Hi! We’re (The) Red Dear: siblings Dylan and Izzy, aged 17&15, and we don’t have a TV. Instead, we write and record modern folk music. Traditional acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies form the basis of our music, with a little bit of electric guitar, and some other weird stuff. We play acoustic guitars with cello bows, use a 43 stringed autoharp, and include atmospheric sounds in our recordings.
We formed (The) Red Dear in early 2016 and started performing live on a regular basis. We recorded our first EP “Demo” which resulted in lots of local radio play, and we were thrilled to have our track “Paper Dust” played nationally on BBC Radio One.
